The goblet squat is a great exercise to use to switch up your routine. A goblet squat is a front loaded, lower body exercise. It works not only your quads, but your core and upper back.
How to do it!
- Stand holding a kettlebell close to your chest. This will be your starting position.
- Squat down as low as you can while using proper squatting form (chest up, knees in line with 2nd toe, back straight).
- At the bottom of the position, pause and then stand. Return to the starting position, and repeat.
A good cue, for proper form, is to keep the horn of the kettlebell in line with your mouth. At the lowest point in your squat your elbows should be on the inside of your knees.
